March the 21st was no normal Friday...this year it was not only Red Nose Day but also World Down Syndrome Day. These are two very important dates in the calendar at Harrogate Skills for Living and we love doing fun and creative activities to celebrate these days with our learners and residents.
Day centre learners enjoyed crafty Red Nose Day themed activities as well as baking some funny red nose cupcakes.
To mark World Down Syndrome day, day centre learners coloured in lots of colourful socks and hung them on our craft tree display. Residents at our Briardene Care Home also designed and coloured in their own unique sock and then they all stood together to make a washing line of socks.
Here are a few photos from our fun day!
