Cafe Success for HS4LC interns!

12 February 2020

You may have seen us announce at the beginning of January that our Routes to Employment interns would be taking over The Bridge Coffee Bar at COGs in Knaresborough every Monday. We are over a month into attending the cafe now and it really is going from strength to strength week in week out.

The interns are front of house taking orders, making drinks and serving customers as well as in the kitchen preparing freshly baked scones and following specially created visual recipes to make a different soup of the day each week.

If you are looking for something to do in half term next week...why not come down and visit us! We will have our colouring competition running and lots of lovely homemade snacks and lunches ready to be served - they are sure to be a hit with the whole family!

We have received lots of great feedback and are thrilled with the support we have received from the local community on this new venture. If you haven't already been, we hope you can come and visit us one Monday for a lovely fresh lunch or even just a cup of tea and cake to show us your support.

You can find us at The Bridge Coffee Bar, Gracious Street Methodist Church,Chapel Street, Knaresborough, HG5 8AN.

The Routes to Employment interns are really enjoying their days at the cafe. Attending The Bridge Coffee Bar once a week helps the interns to learn active work skills in a enterprise environment.

Don't forget to follow us on our social media channels to keep up to date with everything going on at Harrogate Skills for Living Centre.
