Every charitable organisation requires a level of support from the local community, HS4LC are no exception to this. As a local charity Harrogate Skills for Living Centre welcome involvement from the wider community. This connection enables us to continue to deliver support and the additional services required to help adults with learning disabilities and autism.
We wanted to let you know a few different ways you could easily help HS4LC.
Play The Local Lotto
The Local Lotto was started in September 2018, offering a new fundraising platform for Harrogate charities and good causes.
How it works is 60p from every £1 ticket sold will go directly to HS4LC. This is better than the National Lottery where only 30p in £1 goes back into the community.
The Local Lotto is drawn every Saturday and we have already seen lots of the HS4LC supporters win!

Social Media
The last decade has seen the power of social media soar! Social media enables a charity like HS4LC to show our work and the good our organisation is doing to a wide audience for free! We do however rely on our trusty supporters and followers to like and share our post to help us reach more people in the online community.
You may not think a little click of a button could help us but it really can! The more people who like and share our social media posts leads to a knock on effect. When you like our posts it increases our visibility on social media and enables our posts to be seen by a wider audience therefore helping us spread the word of our organisation.

Give as you Live
Give as you Live is an online fundraising platform allowing users to shop at over 4,300 top stores and raise free funds for a chosen charity.
You can sign up for free and shop with all your favourite retailers whilst also raising money for HS4LC.
This is a great way to give to our charity whilst doing your shopping as normal. By shopping through Give as you Live it doesn't cost you anything extra, all it means is HS4LC receive a little of your purchase cost - it really is that simple!
Volunteering
Volunteering is a way you can make a difference to our learners and the organisation, Volunteers are a vital part of the work we do and enhance the experiences we are able to offer. Volunteers may work for any part of the organisation including support, admin and gym.

Donations
We often run raffles and tombolas at our events and any gifts and prizes we have donated are very much appreciated, In the last few years we have seen an increase in amazing prizes donated by local businesses and this has helped us greatly raise some funds for HS4LC through raffles.
