The summer break at Harrogate Skills for Living came to a fitting close with the annual family and friends BBQ on Saturday 31 August held at our Brackenley care home.
Residents of our homes, day centre clients, staff, and their families came together on a warm and sunny day to eat, drink, dance and enjoy fantastic live music by local band Let Luce. The kids got their sugar fix from the Bran Tub and played bowling and snakes and ladders.
The delicious BBQ was cooked by Chris Moore and our very own CEO; Hadyn Moorby-Davies. The afternoon ended with a fabulous karaoke session with enthusiastic renditions of ABBA, Queen and Elton John’s songs.
A huge thank you to all the staff that helped organise and assisted at the BBQ and also a big thank you to the local businesses that donated amazing raffle prizes including Harrogate Chocolate Factory Cafe, RHS Garden Harlow Carr, Harrogate Organics Company, Mother Shipton's Cave, Bettys, JR'S Yorkshire Fish & Chips and Farrah's.
We all had a great time and can't wait for next years event! Please take a look at some of our photos.
