Last week we enjoyed our annual day centre trip to the Yorkshire Coast. We had overcast weather, with spells of sunshine. Rain was forecast but never arrived, which we were all very pleased about.
This was our biggest trip ever, with 41 learners and 21 staff, volunteers and 1:1 carers descending on Scarborough by coach, minibus and WAV.
We split into groups who did different activities. Some people walked along the beach, which was very quiet and peaceful. Some visited the fairground and local shops. The amusement arcades of course, were very popular, especially the 2p machines and the claws. No-one came back millionaires, though.
The main event was, of course, fish and chips in The Anchor for lunch with ice creams as dessert. The bright blue ice creams were very popular. Everyone had a great day and are already looking forward to Scarborough 2025!
